On April 22, 2023, at UFC Fight Night 222, Pavlovich defeated Curtis Blaydes via TKO in the first round, bringing his record-setting streak of first round finishes to 6, while also tying with Don Frye for second place for all time consecutive UFC KO/TKO finishes (behind only Chuck Liddell).
The victory over Blaydes brings Pavlovich’s record to an impressive 18 wins and 1 defeat in 19 fights.
