Russian professional mixed martial artist Sergei Pavlovich was born on May 13, 1992 in the village of Orlovsky, Rostov Oblast. Pavlovich is yet to share any information about his parents. The minutest detail of Pavlovich’s parents, thus their names are not known.

Pavlovich began to engage in Greco-Roman wrestling at age 5, under the guidance of coach Alexander Fedorovich Aloyan.

Pavlovich trained in wrestling until the 11th grade. After serving in the military, Pavlovich began to train in army hand-to-hand fighting and combat sambo.
Pavlovich started his professional MMA career in 2014 under the Fight Nights Global promotion, under which he won 12 fights without suffering a single defeat.
He made his UFC debut on 24 November 2018 at UFC Fight Night 141 against Alistair Overeem. Pavlovich lost his debut UFC fight via TKO in the first round.
Till date, Pavlovich has only lost to Overeem.
After the defeat suffered at the hands of Overeem, Pavlovich has won his next 18 fights, 15 via TKO.
