American musician and guitarist, Chris Shiflett left his former band ‘No Use for a Name’ to join his current band Foo Fighters in 1999 because he saw it as an opportunity he couldn’t miss.

He auditioned as a guitarist for Foo Fighters and got in after recording There Is Nothing Left To Lose with the band. Due to his abrupt departure from No Use for a Name, his fellow members of the band who were about to head on tour had to find a replacement, which Dave Grohl became a good fit for.

Shiflett started his career in a band called Lost Kittenz. A while later, he moved to another band as the lead guitarist. He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area punk rock band ‘No Use for a Name.’

He released his third studio album in 2023 titled Lost At Sea and is set to go on UK and Ireland tour soon.

I am so excited to announce my upcoming tour of the UK & Ireland. The gigs I did over there in 2019 were some of the wildest, most rocking solo shows I’ve ever done, and I expect this one will be even better. We ‘ve got a bunch of new tunes to play, and we’re fired up. See you soon!!!” he shared.
