Ted DiBiase, also known as “The Million Dollar Man,” retired from professional wrestling in 1996.

There were a few reasons for his retirement, both personal and professional. One of the primary reasons was his health. DiBiase suffered a severe neck injury while wrestling in 1993, which required surgery.
While he was able to continue wrestling for a few years after the surgery, the pain and physical limitations eventually became too much, leading to his decision to retire.

Another factor in DiBiase’s retirement was his desire to become a full-time minister. DiBiase had long been a devout Christian and had incorporated his faith into his wrestling character, often portraying himself as a villain who used his wealth and power for selfish purposes.
After retiring from wrestling, DiBiase became a Christian minister and began travelling the country speaking at churches and events. He also founded his own ministry, Heart of David Ministry, which focuses on helping men become better fathers and husbands.
