Born on September 14, 2000, in Naperville, Illinois, United States, Celentano attended Neuqua Valley High School.

He played soccer at Indiana University with the Indiana Hoosiers men’s soccer team, for three seasons.

During his time with the Indiana Hoosiers, his team won the Big Ten Conference championship.

On two occasions, Celentano was named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year, and the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Tournament.

In 2022, Celentano signed a Generation Adidas contract with Major League Soccer, which qualified him for the 2022 MLS SuperDraft.

On the same day, the FC Cincinnati then drafted him as second overall pick.

On the international front, Celentano represented the United States ahead of friendlies against Serbia and Colombia in 2023.
