Who Is Cheryl Baker?
Cheryl Baker, whose real name is Rita Maria Stroud, is a singer and TV presenter, known for being a member of the pop group Bucks Fizz, as far back as the 1980s.
Born on March 8, 1954, in England, Baker with her group, won the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest.

The Buzz Fizz, had 20 of their singles ranking tops on the UK music charts at the time.

Some of their hit songs include “Making Your Mind Up” (1981), “The Land of Make Believe” (1981) and “My Camera Never Lies” (1982).
Baker left The Bucks Fizz in 1993, and now collaborates with Mike Nolan and Jay Aston, formerly of Bucks Fizz, and they perform under the name “The Fizz”.
As a TV star, Baker appeared on the shows All Star Family Fortunes, Celebrity Mastermind, The National Lottery: Who Dares Wins, and the tenth series of Dancing on Ice.
In 2023, Baker will appear on a special episode of the BBC One soap opera EastEnders.
