Hope Davis is an American actress. Hope Dais was born in Englewood, New Jersey on March 23, 1964. She is William Davis and Joan’s second child.

Her father worked as an engineer, and her mother worked as a librarian. Hope grew up in Tenafly, New Jersey, and graduated from high school there in 1982. She went on to study cognitive science at ‘Vassar College.’
Hope Davis moved to London after graduating from ‘Vassar,’ to study theatre at the ‘Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.’ She returned to the United States and began working at ‘HB Studio’ in New York City.
Hope believes her mother inspired her interest in acting. She considers her mother to be a “great storyteller.” She grew up with actress Mira Sorvino, with whom she wrote and performed in numerous backyard plays.

Davis made her film debut in the early 1990s with minor roles in films like “Flatliners” and “Home Alone.” However, her breakthrough role came in the mid-1990s when she played the lead role in the indie film “The Daytrippers.”
In addition to her work in independent films, Davis has also acted in several big-budget Hollywood productions. Some of her notable films include “About Schmidt,” “Proof,” “Synecdoche, New York,” and “Captain America: Civil War.
