Matt Dumba was placed on injured reserve by the Minnesota Wild on Sunday because of a lower-body injury.

Matt Dumba got injured in the third period of a 5-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday after being hit by Wild forward Jordan Greenway.

Matt Dumba plays for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League. The Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League (WHL) selected Dumba with their first-round selection, fourth overall, in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.

Matt Dumba made his WHL debut in 2009–10, appearing in six regular season games and two playoff games for the Rebels.
NHL Central Scouting ranked Matt Dumba as the 11th best prospect for the draft, while International Scouting Services ranked him 5th overall.
The Minnesota Wild selected Matt Dumba in the first round, seventh overall. Matt Dumba scored his first NHL goal on October 12, 2013, against Dan Ellis of the Dallas Stars.
