About Polestar Car Brand
Polestar is a Swedish car brand founded in 1996 by Volvo Cars’ partner Flash/Polestar Racing.
It was acquired by Volvo in 2015, with its headquarters in Sweden and the production plant in China.

Polestar has been producing racing cars for Volvo since 1996, and has developed race cars for Cyan Racing. In 2014, the company manufactured a V8 powered Volvo S60 that was driven by Garry Rogers Motorsport during the Australian V8 Supercars series.
In 2021, Polestar struck a business deal with Gores Guggenheim, Inc., and the following year, began trading shares on the Nasdaq exchange with the symbol PSNY.
Polestar has additionally manufactured two electric performance cars – Polestar 1 and Polestar 02.
Following these two releases, Polestar launched a new roadster model dubbed Polestar 6, which is based on the previous O2 concept car.
The Polestar 6, will be enter production in 2026.
