The 38-year-old Star Eliud Kipchoge and his wife Grace Sugut have three children; Lynne, 15, Griffin, 11, and Gordon, 9.

The Kenyan professional athlete Eliud Kipchoge is a long-distance runner who competes in the marathon and formerly specialized in the 5000 metre distance.

Eliud first broke into the international scene as a teenager winning the U20 race at the World Cross Country Championships in 2003. That same year, he won the 5000m gold medal at the 2003 World Championships in Paris.

A five-time World Championship 5000 m finalist, Kipchoge took silver medals at the 2007 World Championships, 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Kipchoge switched to road running in 2012 and made the second-fastest half-marathon debut ever, at 59:25.

In 2013, he began his marathon career with a victory in Hamburg (2:05:30). His first victory at a World Marathon Major came at the Chicago Marathon in 2014, and he subsequently became series champion a record five times – for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022.

At the Boston Marathon on April 17, 2023, Kipchoge finished sixth with a time of 2:09:23.
