What happened to Asad Ahmed? Asad Ahmed was shot and killed on April 13, 2023, in a police shootout. He was also a suspect in the murder of Umesh Pal, along with his uncle, Ashraf, and father.

Cases against the crime family included the murder of Umesh Pal, a pivotal witness in the 2005 murder of Raju Pal, a lawmaker who was a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
Raju Pal was murdered after he defeated Ashraf in the 2004 assembly elections in Ahmed’s political stronghold. Umesh Pal was also killed in February 2004 after several people opened fire on him.
Asad died while his father stood before court after being accused of the same crime. He broke down in tears when the announcement of his son’s death was made to him.
