Norm Kent wife: Was Norm Kent married?

There is not much information on whether Norm Kent married or not.

But in 2000, Kent met John Fugate, then 18 and disowned since middle school by his Lakeland family.

Fugate was given the opportunity to deliver newspapers by Kent, who was then the publisher of the Fort Lauderdale-based Express Gay News.

Kent told him (Fugate) that if he ever needed a place to stay, he can always stay at his (Kent) house and he offered him his house keys.

Fugate initially said he was “too proud and terrified” to visit Kent’s house. Yet on a chilly, rainy morning a few weeks later, Fugate arrived. He eventually settled in.

Kent, 53, and Fugate, 21, became partners despite their disparity in age.

They called it quits on their romance seven years later. But they stayed close friends and intermittently collaborated.

In 2018, when Kent’s health started to deteriorate, Fugate and his brand-new spouse Brian Swinford took over as Kent’s caretakers.
