Trayce Thompson Parents: Mychal Thompson, Julie Thompson

Trayce Thompson is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Trayce Thompson is the son of Mychal Thompson and Julie Thompson. His father, Mychal Thompson, is a former NBA player.

He played the centre position for the University of Minnesota and centre and forward for the National Basketball Association’s Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, and Los Angeles Lakers.  Thompson won two NBA championships with the Lakers during their Showtime era in the 1980s.

Trayce Thompson’s mother Julie Thompson played volleyball at the University of San Francisco and his brothers, Klay and Mychel, are also professional basketball players. Trayce, however, decided to pursue a baseball career and has made a name for himself as an outfielder.

Trayce Thompson was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the second round of the 2009 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft, and he made his MLB debut with the White Sox on August 4, 2015.  Trayce Thompson agreed to a one-year, $1.45 million contract with the Dodgers on January 13, 2023.
