Justin Jones is an activist and politician who serves as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for District 52, representing parts of Nashville.
Born on August 25, 1995, in Oakland, California, Jones has served from January 2023 until he was expelled on April 6, 2023, for protesting inside the state capitol.

Four days later, Jones was reinstated as an interim representative, following a unanimous vote by the Nashville Metropolitan Council.

Jones is a graduate of Fisk University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree.
In 2019, Jones “announced his interest to run for the United States House of Representatives in Tennessee’s 5th congressional district.”
In 2020, Jones led a 62-day sit-in protest against the killing of George Floyd. He also fell out with the law the same year for assaulting an officer.
In 2022, Jones contested against State Representative Mike Stewart as the member of the Tennessee House for the 52nd district.
He however defeated Delishia Porterfield, and Davidson County, in the Democratic Party primary election. He eventually won the general election without any opposition.
