After high school, she committed to play her collegiate basketball for Fairfield Stags over offers from UMass Lowell, Tulsa, Akron, and Duquesne.

While at Fairfield, Lopez-Senechal earned numerous awards including the 2018-19 MAAC Rookie of the Year, Two-time All-Met First Team (2021, and 2022), 2021-22 MAAC Player of the Year, 2022 MAAC Tournament Most Valuable Player, and Three-time All-MAAC First Team (2020, 2021, and 2022).

In the latter part of her senior year at Fairfield University, Lopez-Senechal transferred to the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut in the 2022-2023 season.
