Jonquel Jones is a basketball player who plays as a power forward for the New York Liberty of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).
Born on January 5, 1994, in Bahamas, Jones is a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She had a successful college basketball career playing for Clemson and George Washington.

In 2016, Jones began to play for the Connecticut Sun as backup center, and averaged 6.8 ppg, 3.7 rpg and 1.1 bpg in 34 games with 6 starts.
She also represented the Bosnian women’s national basketball team.
Jones earned a career high in points assist with averages of 19.4 points 11.2 rebounds 2.8 assist 1.3 steals 1.3 blocks while playing with the Suns and won the WNBA MVP , and WNBA Most Improved Player Award in 2021.
She is the first player to win MVP in the history of the WNBA.
In 2023, Jones was traded to the New York Liberty on request.
