Simon and Janice had one child, a son named Nathan Ray Michael Fields also known as Nathan Fields.
London-born Simon Fields attended Stowe School for his schooling. After receiving his degree, he advanced through the ranks of London’s television commercial production to take the position of production manager for the Moving Picture Corporation.
In 1978, Fields became a producer for Jon Roseman Productions and moved to L.A. within a year to join its U.S. division.

From 2004 through 2013, Simon served as Nuyorican Productions’ president. Fields has produced a number of feature films through Nuyorican.
Simon Fields served as Executive Producer on many television productions: The crime drama Bordertown, starring Jennifer Lopez and Antonio Banderas
In addition, Lopez and Marc Anthony starred in Simon’s productions of El Cantante, the biography of Hector Lavoe, the father of salsa, for The Picture House, and Feel the Noise, a drama with a New York and Puerto Rico setting for Sony Pictures.
