Billy Hahn children: Did Billy Hahn have kids?

William Hahn, an American basketball coach, served as Bob Huggins’ assistant coach for the West Virginia Mountaineers from June 22, 1953, until April 7, 2023. Hahn has achieved multiple school records at Maryland and made numerous NCAA Tournament appearances over his head coaching and assistant coaching careers.

He has also coached and recruited 19 future NBA players. Although he was coaching the La Salle University Explorers at the time, he received harsh criticism for his involvement in a rape case in 2004. At Morris Harvey College, Hahn started his coaching career in 1975 as Rick Meckfessel’s assistant. At Davidson College, Hahn was hired as an assistant coach in 1976.

While at Rhode Island, Hahn recruited and coached Sly Williams, a future NBA player.

The survivors of Billy include his wife Felicia (Fizzarotti) Hahn, his kids Morgan and Matthew Hahn, his sisters Dana Gellis and her husband Dave and Cindy Coviello and her husband Mark, nieces and nephews Kyra Whelan, Jamie Labisi, Jesse Coviello, and Justin Coviello, and great-niece Brielle.

A heart attack struck Hahn this week. He was 69. With more than 40 years of experience coaching college basketball, including two stints as head coach, Hahn, who also played his college ball at Maryland, is a great example of the sport. He served as the president of La Salle from 2001 to 2004 and Ohio University from 1986 to 1989.
