American real estate developer, Harlan Crow has an estimated net worth of around $2 billion. Even though his father Trammell Crow contributed massively to his wealth by leaving his company -Crow Holdings – for him, he also did well to work up the ranks.

Harlan Crow started his career by working for his dad’s company, Trammell Crow Houston Industrial as a Leasing Agent. He worked from 1974 to 1978. He also managed the company’s Dallas Office Building development operations from 1978 to 1986. In 1986, he served as the President of Wyndham Hotel Company. He assumed the role of Chairman and CEO of Crow Holdings in 1988.

When he took over from his father, the company was on the brink of bankruptcy, however, he restructured the debt, sold off assets, and rebuilt the company.
How does Harlan Crow spend his money?
Harlan Crow has donated almost $5 million to Republican campaigns and conservative groups for many years. He has a private library at his Dallas Residence. The library comprises of a significant collection of historical documents from Ponce de Leon, Christopher Columbus, Amerigo Vespucci, George Washington, Robert E. Lee, and more.
His backyard garden also includes sculptures of fallen leaders and Communists icons such as Vladimir Lenin, Josef Stalin, Fidel Castro, Karl Marx, Hosni Mubarak, Josip Broz Tito, Nicolae Ceausescu, Walter Ulbricht, and more.
