American professional basketball player Timothy Duane Hardaway Jr. was born on March 16, 1992. He now plays for the Dallas Mavericks in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Before joining the NBA, Hardaway played basketball for the Michigan Wolverines in college. He declared his entry for the NBA draft as a result of being a member of the national runner-up 2012–13 team.

He was chosen by the New York Knicks as the number 24 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. He has represented the New York Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks, respectively. Hardaway’s father is NBA Hall of Famer Tim Hardaway.

Hardaway garnered four Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week honors during his rookie season in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men’s basketball season, three of which came in the final four weeks.

He scored more than 20 points per game on average during that time, which helped the 2010–11 team get to fourth place in the Big Ten Conference men’s basketball rankings. After the season, he was selected for the honorable mention All-Big Ten team as well as the Big Ten All-Freshman team.

He made more three-pointers than any other freshman in Michigan history in a single season. Additionally, he represented Team USA in the 2011 FIBA Under-19 World Championship, and in that same year, he was selected to the Collegeinsider.com Freshmen All-America team.

Will Tim Hardaway be back? On August 9, 2021, Hardaway re-signed with the Mavericks. He underwent left foot surgery for his fifth metatarsal bone on February 1, 2022, and was consequently sidelined indefinitely.
