Andrea Pirlo’s parents are Luigi Pirlo and Livia Gatta. Pirlo was born in Flero in the province of Brescia. With his brother Ivan, Pirlo is one of two kids. In 1982, Pirlo’s father established Elg Steel, a metal trading business in Brescia. Pirlo still owns a portion of the family company.

Pirlo claimed in an interview with the Italian edition of Vanity Fair magazine that he never talks about money, despite being wealthy thanks to his family’s business and his football career.

Pirlo is renowned for being a wine expert and owns an Italian vineyard that produces between 15 and 20,000 bottles annually.
