Xolo Maridueña is an American national by birth. He was born in Los Angeles, California, United, however, he is of Mexican, Cuban, and Ecuadorian descent. Growing up he always had a passion for acting, and he had always wanted to be in a Marvel or DC film. Luckily for him, he has become the first Latino superhero in the DC Universe as he bags a new role in the upcoming Blue Beetle film.

“The only thing that is on my mind right now is the fact that he’s Latino. I have so much pride in getting to be a part of this project. I think it’s so important, and I don’t want to stand on the soapbox for too long but representation is so important,” he said.
