Who is Bruno Saltor? Chelsea FC Appoints New Interim Coach

Bruno Saltor is a Spanish former professional footballer who has been appointed as the new interim coach of English Premier League side, Chelsea Football Club. This comes after the team’s head coach, Graham Potter was fired.

Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has departed the club. Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition. In his time with the club, Graham has taken us to the quarter-final of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid. Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future. Bruno Saltor will take charge as interim Head Coach,” the announced in an official statement.

Saltor is a former professional footballer who played seven (7) seasons for Brighton FC of the English Premier League. However, he began his professional career with Espanyol in Spain and appeared in 128 games.

His biography on the official website of Chelsea FC reads;

Former Brighton player Bruno Saltor Grau has been in coaching since retiring at the end of 2018/19 season and joined Graham Potter in moving Stamford Bridge in 2022. The Spaniard is considered a legend at Brighton, having spent a successful seven years on the South Coast. He guided the club as captain to a first promotion to the top flight in 34 years.
