Nancy Barbato: Who Was Frank Sinatra’s First Wife?

In the summer of 1934, Frank Sinatra first met Nancy Barbato (March 25, 1917 – July 13, 2018), with whom he later got married on February 4, 1939, in Barbato’s hometown of Jersey City, New Jersey. After getting married at 93 Clerk Street’s Our Lady of Sorrows Church, the couple moved into an apartment building at 137 Bergen Avenue.

Francis Wayne Sinatra, also known as Frank Sinatra Jr., was born on January 10, 1944, and Nancy Sinatra, their first child, was born on June 8, 1940. Both were born in Jersey City’s Margaret Hague Hospital.
