Joey Wendle plays as a second baseman for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball.

The American baseball player Wendle played collegiate baseball at the West Chester University of Pennsylvania where he compiled a .366 career batting average with 23 home runs and 185 runs batted in (RBIs) in his four-year college career.

He was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the sixth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft.

Wendle subsequently had a two-year stint with minor league teams Mahoning Valley Scrappers, Carolina Mudcats, and Akron RubberDucks, before the Indians traded him to Oakland Athletics on December 8, 2014.

Athletics also traded Wendle to Tampa Bay Rays on December 11, 2017.

Wendle played for the Tampa Bay Rays for four seasons before he was traded again to Miami Marlins.
