Jalen Rose is an American sports analyst and former professional basketball player. He is the son of Jimmy Walker and Jeanne Rose.

On April 28, 202, which would have been Jeanne’s 80th birthday, ESPN published an article about her and the name Jalen. She was proud of her son, but she was also proud of essentially inventing the name, which has been given to thousands of children, both boys and girls and has spawned a plethora of variations.
