The American basketball coach Brown is the current head coach for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

After completing high school in 1988, Brown first studied and played collegiate basketball for Mesa Community College for two seasons before transferring to the University of San Diego, where he played the remaining two seasons and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

He began his coaching career as an assistant coach for Washington Wizards from 1997 to 1999.  Brown was subsequently hired by Gregg Popovich in 2000 as an assistant coach for San Antonio Spurs.

Following his two-year stint with Indiana Pacers from 2003 to 2005 as associate head coach, Brown earned his first head coach position in June 2005 with Cleveland Cavaliers.

After working with the Cavaliers for five years, Brown was officially named as the head coach for Los Angeles Lakers on May 31, 2011.

The Lakers fired Brown on November 9, 2012, and was then rehired by Cleveland Cavaliers on April 24, 2013.

On July 4, 2016, the Golden State Warriors hired Brown as an assistant coach. He stayed with the team till 2022 before he was named the head coach of the Sacramento Kings on May 9, 2022.
