Alice Sebold is a renowned author known for the novels The Lovely Bones and The Almost Moon, and a memoir, Lucky.
Born on September 6, 1963, in Winconsin, Sebold attended Great Valley High School in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and Syracuse University, where she bagged her first degree.

She proceeded to attend the University of Houston in Texas, and never stopped writing poems and novels.

Upon graduation, she added an MFA to her achievements from the University of California.
Her novel The Lovely Bones became a New York Times Best Seller and was adapted into a film in 2010.
The book won the Bram Stoker Award for First Novel and the Heartland Prize in 2002, the American Booksellers Association’s Book of the Year Award for Adult Fiction in 2003.”
Her memoir, Lucky, made more than a million copies sale. The book chronicles the sexual assault she experienced as a Freshman at Syracuse University.
In 2016, Sebold received an honorary degree from Emerson College.
