In Gotham Knights, Clayface is part of the bat family, not because they are blood-related, but because Batman gave Clayface the opportunity to join a team of ‘Superheroes’ he was assembling. Batman believed that it will be a great course for Clayface to have a turning point in his life.

Clayface has played the role of both a protagonist and a villain, depending on which Batman comics you are looking at. However, in most of his appearance, he is a prominent enemy of Batman.

When will Clayface appear in DC Comics again?

According to sources from the DC Camp, Clayface has been pitched by filmmaker, Mike Flanagan to the bosses of the entertainment company. It was revealed that he had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran to discuss how Clayface can be reintroduced into the modern-day comic universe.

It is unclear if any of these characters will return to play the character if they should be given the greenlight.
