According to sources from the DC Camp, Clayface has been pitched by filmmaker, Mike Flanagan to the bosses of the entertainment company. It was revealed that he had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran to discuss how Clayface can be reintroduced into the modern-day comic universe.

It was reported that Clayface has been suggested to make an appearance or even play the villain in the next batman film dubbed The Batman 2 which is set to release in October 2025.

However, there has been no go-ahead or refusal of this proposal.
Who Will Play Clayface?
Clayface has been played by several actors in the past including Alan Tudyk, Ron Perlman, Kate Micucci, and Stephon Lin. It is unclear if any of these characters will return to play the character if they should be given the greenlight.
With James Gunn being the new boss of the DC Comics, it is very possible that he might cast a whole new actor if the role should be played in The Batman 2 or any of DC films.
