Her father, retired Lieutenant Colonel Bob Harris, was a United States Army officer and Army Aviator who had served three tours in Vietnam. As a child, Faulkner moved around, including to Stuttgart, West Germany.
Harris Faulkner joined FOX News Channel (FNC) in 2005 and previously hosted Outnumbered Overtime with Harris Faulkner, which has ranked first in its timeslot since its debut in 2017.
In 2021, she was recognised in Variety’s 2021 New York Women’s Impact Report for her 2020 interview with then-President Donald Trump following George Floyd’s murder.

She has six Emmy Awards for her work in broadcasting, including Best Newscaster and Best News Special in 2004.
Faulkner is also the author of the book 9 Rules of Engagement: A Military Brat’s Guide to Life and Success.
According to her bio, she “shares the lessons she learned growing up in a military family while paying homage to the military ideals that shaped her and demonstrating how everyone can benefit from bringing the wisdom of military service into their lives.”
