Grant Hill Wife: Who is Tamia?

Tamia is a Canadian singer who is married to Grant Henry Hill an American professional basketball executive and former player.

The couple met on a blind date in Detroit, Michigan in 1996, thanks to singer Anita Baker. After a three-year courtship, the couple married on July 24, 1999, in a private reception in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Rev. John H. Grant, Hill’s cousin, officiated the ceremony, which was attended by 250 people. The couple lived in Detroit at first but moved to Orlando, Florida when Hill left the Detroit Pistons to join the Orlando Magic. Myla Grace, their first child, was born on January 23, 2002. On August 9, 2007, a second daughter, Lael Rose Hill, was born.

Tamia’s self-titled debut album was released in 1998, and it was followed by a string of successful Elektra Records albums, including A Nu Day (2000) and More (2004).

Love Life, her sixth studio album, debuted at number two on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums in 2015, becoming her highest-charting album on the chart.

Tamia is a six-time Grammy Award nominee and an NAACP Image Award winner for her work with singer Eric Benét.
