What did Alan Ruck say about filming Ferris Bueller?
Alan Ruck shared that because he was not as young as the other characters on set, he was worried he wouldn’t be able to know trendy stuff to fuel their energy.
“I was worried I’d be years out of step, and I wouldn’t know anything about what was cool, what was hip, all that junk. But when I was going to high school, I didn’t know any of that stuff then, either,” he said.

During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, he was asked if he destroyed the Ferrari in the film. He shared that it was not a real Ferrari so it’s nothing to be so worried about.
“Everyone can relax and breathe a sigh of relief because they were all crap. They were all kit cars. We couldn’t afford a real Ferrari. It was a Mustang chassis with a fiberglass body. They were just wretched. They wouldn’t start. We did this one scene 16 times because the car would not start. We had three of them. And when we sent that one to the window, the crew cheered. They were jumping up and down,” he shared.
