Evgeny Kuznetsov is a Russian professional ice hockey forward who plays for the National Hockey League’s Washington Capitals (NHL). Evgeny Kuznetsov and his wife Anastasiya Zinov’eva have two children, a daughter and a son.

In May 2015, Anastasia gave birth to a baby girl. Evgeny Kuznetsov originally announced via a post on Twitter, referring to himself as Batya, which means father in Russian. They landed on the name Ecenia, which was her choice per Evgeny.

“We looking for a couple of names, and I tell my wife whatever you want, just tell me,” he said at the time according to Nova Caps Fan.

Evgeny Kuznetsov’s wife, Nastya Kuznetsova, gave birth to the couple’s second child a boy in 2019. The couple named the child Фёдор, which translated to English as Fyodor or Fedor.

Kuznetsov has shared that he wants his children to learn about the power of having a joyful philosophy of life early. He also doesn’t want them to follow his same career path as a professional athlete. Kuznetsov doesn’t think that lifestyle is healthy.
