Who is Andrew Lloyd Webber Wife Madeleine Gurdon?

Madeleine Astrid Gurdon, Baroness Lloyd-Webber is a British equestrian and the current wife of theatre mogul Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Madeleine Gurdon and Andrew Lloyd Webber got married on February 9, 1991, at his Hampshire home, Sydmonton Court. The couple met through his Watership Down neighbours who were horse enthusiasts.

They have three children: Alastair born in 1992, William born in 1993 and Isabella born in 1996. The family splits their time between London and Hampshire. She and her husband founded the Watership Down Polo Club, and their children play polo.

Madeleine Gurdon was an equestrian competitor for nearly a decade, competing in three-day events that required the same horse and rider pair to demonstrate skill in dressage, show jumping, and cross-country riding.

She was elected president of the Pony Club, which she has been a member of her entire life, in 2010.

According to Companies House, as of 2021, she is a director in eight companies, including her husband’s Really Useful Group.  She is the only woman on the board of Newbury Racecourse.
