Vivian is Shou Zi Chew, the CEO of tiktok’s, wife. She is a mother of two children.

Vivian Kao is a Taiwanese-American. She met Shou Zi Chew while studying at Havard Business School (HBS). They later got married and now have two children.

Vivian Kao earned Ph.D. in English Literature from Rutgers University research interests include film or literature adaptation , teaching , learning of humanities the composition at stem universities, victorian novel and postcolonial .

According to the HBS’ alumni page, Vivian Kao and Shou Zi Chew met over e-mail in 2008 after they enrolled in the school.

They have been described as “a couple who often finish each other’s sentences”.

They have been giving back to their alma mater consistently as volunteers and donors since they graduated, and by taking part in fund-raising efforts.

After graduating with MBAs, the couple lived in various cities, including London and Hong Kong. They continued to keep in touch with their classmates.
