Who ordered the assassination of Kim Jong-nam?

When Kim Jong-nam was assassinated, four suspects were arrested in relation to his murder. There were several speculations about his murder and who ordered it. However, so many people believe that he was murdered by North Korean’s current Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-un.

Why was Kim Jong-nam murdered?

Kim Jong-nam was reportedly murdered because of the way he severely criticized the family’s dynastic rule. He was assassinated by two women at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia after being exposed to VX nerve. The two suspects were identified as Siti  Aisyah (an Indonesian) and Doan Thi Huong (a Vietnamese). When they were arrested, they shared that they were taking part in a TV prank. The incident occurred on February 13, 2017.

In March 2019, Siti Aisyah was released after the charges against her were dismissed. A month later, Huon’s charges were also dropped, however, she pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of “voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means.” Huong was then sentenced to three years and four months but she received only one-third of her prison term and came out in May 2019.
