Spike Jonze is the first husband of Sofia Coppola.

Jonze is an American filmmaker, actor, musician, and photographer. His work includes commercials, film, music videos, skateboard videos, and television.
A native of New York, Jonze started his career photographing BMX riders and skateboarders for Freestylin’ Magazine and Transworld Skateboarding.
He then moves into filmmaking.
At the beginning of his film career, Jonze began shooting street skateboarding films, including the influential Video Days (1991).

Jonze co-founded Directors Label, with filmmakers Chris Cunningham and Michel Gondry, and the Palm Pictures company.
He is currently the creative director of Vice Media, Inc. and its multinational television channel Vice on TV.
Spike Jonze met his ex-wife an American filmmaker and actress Sofia Coppola in 1992 on the set of the music video for Sonic Youth’s “100%”.
Jonze and Coppola tied the knot on June 26, 1999.
After four years of marriage, the couple divorced on December 5, 2003, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
