Nanette Newman
Forbes’ mother, Nanette, is an actress and author who has starred in nine films directed by her husband Bryan Forbes.
She appeared in Séance on a Wet Afternoon (1964), The Whisperers (1967), Deadfall (1968), The Stepford Wives (1975) and International Velvet (1978).
Nanette has won a number of awards including the Evening Standard Film Award, and the BAFTA Award.
Bryan Forbes
Forbes’ father, Bryan, passed away in 2013. He was a film director, screenwriter, film producer, and actor.
He was known for the films The Stepford Wives (1975), Whistle Down the Wind (1961), Séance on a Wet Afternoon (1964) and King Rat (1965). He also write a number of screenplays such as The League of Gentlemen (1960), The Angry Silence (1960) and Only Two Can Play (1962).

Born on May 14, 1965 in Hammersmith, London, Forbes attended Hurst Lodge School and began her media career in the 90s.

She has worked for many notable media houses and has been a host on a number of shows including the BBC children’s show Live & Kicking, the ITV’s teenage problem show Speakeasy, and What’s My Line? on Meridian TV.
Other TV shows Forbes has presented include the Heart 106.2 breakfast show, alongside Jonathan Coleman, the Steve Wright show on BBC Radio 2, Going Out with Alan Carr, and The Alan Titchmarsh.
In the children’s animated series, Peppa Pig, Forbes played a voice role as Mummy Hippo.
As far back as the 60s, Forbes appeared in a TV commercial for Head & Shoulders shampoo and was ranked amongst the 100 Sexiest Women at the time.
