Mike Brey is an American college basketball coach. Mike Brey did not retire he is currently the head men’s basketball coach at the University of South Florida.

Mike Brey has had a successful career leading teams to multiple NCAA tournament appearances and conference championships.

Mike Brey began his coaching career after college as an assistant coach at Duke University under legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Brey then went on to serve as an assistant coach at other schools before landing his first head coaching job at the University of Delaware in 1995.

During his five seasons at Delaware, Brey led the team to two conference championships and two NCAA tournament appearances.

In 2000, Brey was hired as the head coach at Notre Dame. At Notre Dame, Brey has continued to have success on the court, leading the team to numerous NCAA tournament appearances and conference championships.

In his first season at Notre Dame, Brey was named the Big East Coach of the Year, and he has gone on to win the award multiple times throughout his career.
