Born in Aurora, Ontario, Nembhard graduated from Montverde Academy where he played basketball.

He finished his high school career with 12 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals and won game MVP honors.

After high school, he committed to playing college basketball for Creighton.

As a freshman, Nembhard started all 27 games and was a six-time Big East Freshman of the Week honoree. He was also named Big East Freshman of the Year.

He was also named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week six times (Nov. 15, Nov. 22, Nov. 29, Dec. 20, Jan. 17, Feb. 21).

Internationally, Nembhard represented Canada at the 2019 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship in Brazil and the 2021 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in Latvia.

In the 2022 Summer Canada basketball, he played four games for Canada’s U23 team at GLOBL Jam, helping the team to two wins.
