Karen Vieth Edgar is Bob Knight’s second wife. Karen Vieth Edgar is a former Oklahoma high school basketball coach. The duo got married on May 23, 1988, at Methodist Bishop Leroy Hodapp’s office.

The ceremony took place at Indiana Interchurch Center and the only person who attended was Hilda Van Arsdale.

Speaking about the wedding, Bishop Leroy Hodapp stated:

“There was no attempt to keep it secret. But Bob wanted to keep it private, without the press, so we did it here in my office,”

“He had just gotten all that attention about the New Mexico job and really didn’t want to deal with it again.”

Bob Knight was first married to Nancy Falk from April 17, 1963, to 1985. They had two sons called Pat Knight and Tim Knight.

Pat Knight followed his father’s career footsteps. He played at Indiana from 1991 to 1995 and took up the role of a head coach at Lamar after his father’s retirement. Prior to his working with Lamar, Pat Knight coached Texas Tech immediately after his father retired.
