Prior to marrying Ashton dePeyster, Anna was married to financier William Mann,  from 1999 until he died in 2017.

She was also married to business magnate Rupert Murdoch from 1967 to June 1999.

Anna Murdoch Mann and Rupert Murdoch share three children; Elisabeth Murdoch, Lachlan Murdoch, and James Murdoch.

They have all worked in their father’s businesses and jockeyed for the top job.  Lachlan, 51, took the helm of Fox’s broadcast business in 2019.

Anna Murdoch is a Scottish and Australian journalist and novelist.

At age 18, She began her journalism journey, working on Sydney’s Daily Mirror, and also Sydney Daily Telegraph. She subsequently served on the board of directors of News Corporation.

Anna has written several books which include In Her Own Image, Family Business, Coming to Terms and Over Granite Through Heather.

Anna Murdoch was made a Dame of the Order of St. Gregory the Great in 1998.
