Meet Elisabeth Murdoch
Elisabeth Murdoch is the first child of Rupert Murdoch and his ex-wife Anna Murdoch.
She was born on August 22, 1968 in Sydney, Australia.
Elisabeth completed her secondary education at the Brearley School in New York City and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Elisabeth started her training in the family business early with internships and entry level jobs at Murdoch properties. In 1996, she became managing director of Sky Networks at BSkyB. But she left the company in 2000 and founded Shine Limited in March 2001.

In 2011, Shine was acquired by News Corporation in a controversial deal that raised questions about nepotism.
In 2019, Elisabeth launched a new production company, Sister.
Elisabeth Murdoch was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2022 Birthday Honours for services to diversity in the arts and to charity.
She is blessed with four children; Charlotte Emma Freud, Anna Pianim, Samson Murdoch Freud and Cornelia Pianim.
Meet Lachlan Murdoch
Lachlan Murdoch is Rupert Murdoch’s oldest son with his second wife, Anna Murdoch Mann.
He was born on September 8, 1971 in Wimbledon, London, United Kingdom
Murdoch received his primary and secondary education at the Aspen Country Day School in Aspen, Colorado, Trinity School in New York City, and Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Princeton University in 1994.
Lachlan started learning the family business at a young age via internships at his father’s media outlets. He rose quickly through the executive ranks and by 1997 had become chairman and chief executive of News Ltd. However, Murdoch abruptly resigned as an executive at News Corp in July 2005.

Lachlan subsequently launched his own investment company, Illyria Pty, in Australia. Following an extended absence, Lachlan returned to the family business in 2014, becoming the CEO of Fox Broadcasting and executive chairman at 21st Century Fox. After Fox was acquired by Disney in March 2019, Murdoch was named the chairman and CEO of the Fox Corporation.
The 51-year-old Lachlan Murdoch is currently the executive chair and CEO of Fox Corporation and co-chairman of News Corp, as well as executive chairman of NOVA Entertainment, an Australian media company.
Lachlan Murdoch has been married to British-born Australian model and actress Sarah O’Hare since 1999 and they have three children; Aerin Elisabeth Murdoch, Kalan Alexander Murdoch and Aidan Patrick Murdoch.
Meet James Murdoch
James Rupert Jacob Murdoch is the fourth child and the younger son of media mogul Rupert Murdoch and Anna Murdoch Mann.
He was born on December 13, 1972 in Wimbledon, London, United Kingdom.
James completed Horace Mann School in New York City in 1991. He then proceeded to Harvard University to pursue film and history but he dropped out of Harvard in 1995 to start his own hip-hop record label, Rawkus Records.
Years later, he transitioned into executive roles within News Corporation and assumed the role of a corporate company man. After Lachlan quit Fox in 2005, James was increasingly seen as the new heir apparent to his father.

James became chairman of BSkyB in 2007. He was the chairman and CEO for Europe and Asia of News Corporation till 2013 when it was split into News Corp and 21st Century Fox. He subsequently served as the chief executive officer of 21st Century Fox from 2015 to 2019. He resigned from the board of News Corp in 2020.
James Murdoch, 50, has been married to Kathryn Hufschmid since 2000, and together they share three children; Anneka Murdoch, Emerson Murdoch and Walter Murdoch.
In 2020, James Murdoch and his wife each donated US$615,000 to the Biden campaign.
