Gloria Dea died at the age of 100 on Saturday, 18 March 2023, morning from coronary artery disease. Dea died in hospice care at her home in Las Vegas. Plans for a memorial are still being developed. Dea was an only child and had no immediate family.

Gloria Dea began performing tricks at the age of four and was dubbed “the world’s youngest working magician” by the age of seven.

Gloria Dea was known for her hat trick, from which she drew her two pet guinea pigs and a pigeon.  At the age of 12, she won the Association’s award for best work with livestock in competition.

Gloria Dea made history as the first magician to perform on the Las Vegas Strip on May 14, 1941, at El Rancho Vegas.

Gloria Dea sold insurance and then new and used cars for a Chevrolet dealership in the San Fernando Valley after leaving the entertainment industry.
