American actor, Matt LeBlanc who played Joey Tribbiani in the NBC sitcom, Friends, once shared that he was down to his last $11 before he got cast on the popular tv show in 1994.

“I had, I think, I was down to $11,” he said.
“That’s holding out too long. Because even if I said at that point, ‘All right, I’m going to get a waiter job,’ by the time that $11 ran out, it would’ve been before the first paycheck on that job. I would have starved,” he added.

He also shared that things got very tough until he got cast as Dr Drake Ramoray. He added that his first encounter with a crew member – the photographer – was quite hilarious.

“The photographer said, ‘Before we take this, you might want to get that tooth filled.’ I go, ‘What are you talking about?’ He goes, ‘One tooth is a little longer than the other one. You should get it filled,” he shared.
He added that the tooth filling cost $80 which he couldn’t afford, so he went o the drug store to buy a three-pack of emery boards to work on it himself.
