Gaylord also made a one-time appearance in the World Wrestling Federation as The Black Knight at the 1993 Survivors Series.

After leaving the USWA, Gaylord began wrestling for the American Wrestling Federation and later teamed with The Warlord fighting to double disqualification with Hercules Hernandez and Mr. Hughes.
