At about 5:20 p.m., Jack de Bromhead was killed in an accident during the fifth race of the Glenbeigh Festival on Rossbeigh Beach on September 3, 2022.

Henry de Bromhead revealed on Racing TV that the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham Festival this year, will be run in memory of his late son Jack, who died in a pony racing accident.
De Bromhead’s Magical Zoe, who won the Grade Three Irish Stallion Farms EBF Feathard Lady Mares Novice Hurdle at Down Royal on Friday, has her sights set on the longer two-mile affair.
