Joe Pepitone Cause of Death

American professional footballer, Joe Pepitone has died. He died on March 13, 2023, at the age of 82.

The cause of his death is unknown.

Pepitone played in Major League Baseball for the New York Yankees, Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves from 1963 to 1973 and for the Yakult Atoms of Nippon Professional Baseball in 1974.

Pepitone was a three-time MBL All-Star and won three Gold Glove Awards.

After the 1969 season, despite winning his third Gold Glove Award, the Yankees traded Pepitone to the Houston Astros for Curt Blefary.

Unhappy with how the Astros treated him, he threatened to retire in July 1970. The Astros sold Pepitone to the Chicago Cubs on waiver a week later.

Pepitone was married three times, ending in divorce and he had five children through the marriages.
