Colin Firth, an English actor who has been acting for decades, is still active in the entertainment industry and has appeared in a few films in recent years.

In 2019, he appeared in Sam Mendes’ World War I film 1917 as British General Erinmore. Firth starred in The Secret Garden with Julie Walters in 1947 England and Supernova with Stanley Tucci in 2020.
In 2021, he starred in Eva Husson’s romantic drama film Mothering Sunday. He was cast in Sam Mendes’ drama film Empire of Light, starring Olivia Colman, in December 2021.

In April 2022, he appeared as Ewen Montagu in Operation Mincemeat. Firth returned to television in May 2022, playing Michael Peterson in HBO’s The Staircase. He received Primetime Emmy Award nomination for his role in HBO’s The Staircase (2022).
Colin Firth is also a published author. In 2012, Colin Firth’s audiobook recording of Graham Greene’s The End of the Affair was released at Audible. com and was declared Audiobook of the Year at the 2013 Audie Awards.
